Good Morning America tweeted about the recent interview with Shareef. He had some advice for Bronny James. He said, “I talked with Bronny I sent a message. I said any questions you have you can ask me, and I can answer them for you. I know people are going to say they are praying for you and all that. You don’t wanna hear a lot about that“.
He also added about his journey when he faced a similar health scare. Walking with difficulty, he questioned whether the sport he loved would still be a possibility for him.

It was during this trying time that Shaquille O’Neal provided unwavering support and guidance to his son. Shaq said to his son, “If you make it out of this, you’ll be the baddest man on the planet.” He encouraged Shareef to stay strong and resilient.
Big Diesel instilled a sense of determination in his young son. He believed that if he overcame this ordeal, he would be a force to be reckoned with.
Ryan’s insensitivity sparks outrage
While most of the sporting community expressed their love and support for LeBron James‘ son Bronny James, there were instances of insensitivity, exemplified by Gordon Ryan’s remark.

The Jiu-Jitsu black belt has previously fired shots at King James. But few expected the 27-year-old to speak poorly about Bronny’s health scare. As news spread that Bronny was fortunately out of the ICU, Ryan dismissed the critical situation with a callous “Nothing to see here” comment on an ESPN post.
Fans were quick to condemn Ryan’s insensitive stance, expressing their disappointment and frustration. In contrast to the outpouring of empathy and support from the O’Neal family and the broader basketball community, Ryan’s remarks were met with outrage.

Notably, Shareef and his sister Me’erah shared words of encouragement for the recovering 19-year-old.
