Former Boston Celtics Legend Kevin Garnett devoted 21 years of his life on the basketball court to accumulate national and international fame. That fame allowed him to go outside the NBA circle and form a bond with other celebrities.

The former player is known for his love of rap music, going so far as to suggest that a rap battle should be held between NBA players at an All Star weekend event. This allowed him to form a good bond with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg. Garnett recently took to social media to share a hilarious story which involved the 51 year old celebrity.

Kevin Garnett took to Twitter to share a video with his 121400 followers. It featured the ‘The Big Ticket’, along with Snoop Dogg, recalling a story dating back to his NBA days.

Calling it “the most unprofessional sh*ts I have ever done” Garnett remembered how he was once in Toronto and heard that Snoop was to perform a show in the same city. Once it ended, the player hung out with the rapper till the next morning. It was definitely a surprise for the latter to see him be there so late.

Garnett was set to play against the Toronto Raptors the very same day. The 15x NBA All Star, who was leading the League in rebounds that season, found himself unable to clean the boards in the following match. This resulted in the player getting an earful from Flip Saunders, the then General Manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“Flip says ‘God damn you guys. Toronto fans get to see you once. You god damn come here, playing like sh*t’” said Garnett, recalling Flip Saunders’ words in a funny accent.

“’You mother*ckers hanging out with Snoop? You f*cking got Snooped’”.

Garnett managed to collect a measly 2 rebounds in that game. To add insult to injury, the Timberwolves lost to a team that came into that game on a 12 game losing streak.

KG in Disbelief Over News of Collaboration

For the past few years, Kevin Garnett has been the host of his very own Showtime program: ‘KG Certified’. Last year, Garnett invited Michael ‘Harry-O’ Harris, one of the co-founders of ‘Death Row Records’, on his show.

During the conversation, Harris spilled the beans that Snoop Dogg and prominent rapper Dr Dre are set to collaborate once again for a new album. The news was a shock and a pleasant surprise for the former player.

Hold on hold on” said Garnett in amazement. “You just tried to say that like that was nothing”. The NBA champion even asked if the footage could be rewound so that he and the viewers can hear the news once again. Once Harris confirmed it, Garnett looked like he was trying to control his excitement from inside.

We got a certified exclusive that Dre and uh Snoop back in the lab together?” said the player, exhaling out shortly after out of anticipation.”
