In a special meeting with the TNT crew, there was a surprising moment when the legend made an odd confession loudly. Even Gayle King acknowledged that it didn’t sound good on camera. The incident was fueled by an article falsely claiming hatred between Barkley and his new co-host. Barkley said, “You know that I hate you right…you know I saw it on the internet, so it’s got to be true. We had a big conference call yesterday and Gayle said, ‘Did you see the article about how much we hate each other?”

“I was like, what? How do we hate each other? She’s (Gayle King) like, ‘they called me to get a response that we both been bickering behind the scenes.”

However, they do not harbor ill feelings towards each other. If anything, they engaged in hearty laughter while discussing the article. King went ahead and clarified that they “don’t even bicker behind the scenes.”

Charles Barkley is known for engaging in banter with his co-hosts. Shaquille O’Neal is one person he loves to trash-talk with. Both personalities will argue about anything and everything. However, fans love their dynamics.

No doubt, Barkley shares a similar dynamic with other co-hosts, including Gayle King. And even though there may be no arguments off-camera, King does have a specific request from Sir Charles. What could that be?

Gayle King is worried about a particular habit of Charles Barkley

The legend has a habit of dropping his famous friend’s names on the show. Chuck’s honest persona doesn’t let him keep any secrets. That’s what bothers his new co-host. Gayle King said, He’s been doing it for years, bragging about his associations with Michael Jordan and others. It may seem harmless enough on the surface, but for Gayle, it’s a time bomb waiting to happen!”
