In the NBA, there are a few players that you should avoid getting into a verbal altercation with. Players like Kevin Garnett, Larry Bird, and Draymond Green are some of the best when it comes to putting people in their place with just their words. Notably, Draymond once gave a Boston Celtics legend a harsh farewell by comparing him to 5x NBA champion Kobe Bryant. Earlier today, $260 million rapper Drake revived that video to fire shots of his own.

The Canadian hip-hop artist just dropped his latest album and a 43-year-old former rapper made the mistake of criticizing the release. Following that, Drake channeled his inner Draymond to put the man in his place.

Drake recently posted a video of Draymond Green trash-talking Paul Pierce. In 2017, The Truth was ready to hang up his boots. But not before one more season on the hardwood. During a match between the Warriors and the Clippers, Pierce was chirping something toward Draymond Green from the sideline. Draymond was not having any of it.

He went in on Pierce and said, “You looking for a farewell tour? They don’t love you like that. You thought you was Kobe?

Notably, Kobe Bryant had one of the most iconic farewells the league has ever seen. Tickets to Kobe’s last home game were starting at $1,000 going up to nearly $30k! The fans loved Kobe and every game of his last season featured MVP chants for the five-time champion.

Few players ever receive such fanfare. And according to Draymond Green, Paul Pierce was not ‘him’.

Drake used this clip to respond to Joe Budden after his comment on Instagram. He also posted a second story where he wrote “You thought you was Kobe.

This was in response to Budden’s comments on Drake’s new album. Drake did not want Budden to think that he was good enough to criticize the work Drake had put out.

After the release of ‘For All the Dogs’, retired rapper Joe Budden criticized Drake for making music for children and not for people of his own age.

He mentioned that Drake should stop hanging out with young people like Kai Cenat. He is going to be 37, and he should act his age. According to Budden, Drake sounded uninspired and put little effort into his album. Of course, the Canadian rapper was not at all happy after hearing this.

Budden retired from rap in 2018 and switched to a career in broadcasting. Drake, with this in mind, said that Budden left music behind to create clips like the one he did against Drake to pay his bills. He then gave his advice to other artists, saying that they should not listen to anything that comes from Joe Budden. Drake said, “This guy is a poster child for frustration and surrendering. You retired and we never hung up your jersey we don’t even remember your number.
