After the massive success of their brainchild ‘Proudly,’ the co-founders sat for an interview with Fast Company. Wade also shared how he was annoyed by one particular habit of his wife.

Did Dwyane Wade want to work with Gabrielle Union?

During the enlightening conversation, the star couple shared several insights into their journey of co-founding a venture. However, the conversation soon took a hilarious turn. When the host asked about their inspiration to work as partners for this venture, the 3x champion had an unexpected response. Taking everyone by surprise, the legend announced, “I didn’t want to. It’s about the need. I did not wanna work my wife in this capacity.”

“Her email, she be a; She be on me. ‘Did you look at this email? Did you return this email? We got different processes,” the Miami Heat legend elaborated.

In 2022, the parents decided to launch a baby care brand for melanated skin. The inspiration behind this venture was their 4-year-old daughter Kaavia Wade. Yet, it seems, even with clashing working styles, the two have found a balance.

The 50-year-old is no stranger to the business world. Moreover, she also has experience working in the booming beauty industry. Back in 2017, she launched her own hair care brand ‘Flawless.’

Speaking of her working style, she shared, “I believe in a schedule. I believe in a checklist. I believe in efficiency.”
