Michael Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy appreciated Andre De Shields

Andre De Shields acted in the Greek-inspired play Hadestown. His performance won him the 2019 Tony Award for Best featured Actor in a Musical and the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. There was recently an old clip featuring Shields’ motivational speech circulating on the Internet. Juanita Vanoy reshared that clip on her IG story and wrote, “I can watch Andre De Shields saying this over & over a million times.”

In the clip, the actor shares the following words with the audience, “Surround yourself with people who’s eyes light up when they see you coming. Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be. The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing.”

His words must have inspired Vanoy. During her divorce from MJ in 2006, the mother of three had to be equally resilient. Though she stays out of the limelight these days, most of her social media appearances are wholesome in nature.

Earlier this year, Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan shared a snap on his Instagram where Vanoy could be seen enjoying dinner with her children. Days later, she surprised the fans again with her presence at Beyonce’s Renaissance Concert.

Vanoy and her daughter Jasmine Jordan were both present at the gig in Charlotte, North Carolina. The duo shared several snaps from the event on their social handles. She even sent a sweet birthday message to the queen.

Vanoy took to her Instagram to share an old photograph of her and Beyonce and wrote, “This was so so back in the day that I don’t even remember how old I was, but today is all about @beyonce. Happy Birthday Queen!” It seems Shields is not the only one who inspired her.
