NCAA College Football is in full swing. During the Centennial State matchup, all eyes were on Deion Sanders. In particular, on an accessory that has become highly associated with the Buffaloes’ head coach. Leading up to the contest against Colorado State, this product was made a talking point by the opposing team’s coach. As they faced off yesterday, Prime Time was looking to mark a third back-to-back win for his team. NBA legend Kevin Garnett was watching on, with a uniquely vested interest.

Even before the match took place, there was wonderful news for Sanders. A nasty jab by his 60-year-old opponent had turned profitable.

It all began on Wednesday during an episode of Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell’s weekly radio show. The highly anticipated Colorado Buffaloes vs Colorado State match was just a few days away. Keeping the same thought in mind, the 60-year-old took a jab at his rival team’s head coach and his dressing sense. “I don’t care if they hear this in Boulder. I told them (ESPN) ‘I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off.’ And I said, ‘When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That’s what my mother taught me’,” said the former Chicago Bears linebacker.

While other people took offense at Norvell’s remarks, Coach Prime himself saw an opportunity to make some dough.

Just a few hours after the “hat” and “sunglasses” comment left Jay Norvell’s mouth, the sales of Blenders Eyewear skyrocketed. In fact, Deion Sanders’ line of sunglasses have earned a whopping $1.2 Million in just one day.

The Buffaloes coach earlier formed a partnership with the $90 million eyewear company. It gave his fans and football enthusiasts an opportunity to mimic his iconic style. From the looks of it, the partnership probably just saw their best day yet.

If there is anyone from the NBA fraternity who is going to be happy with this news, then it is Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett.

Kevin Garnett fired shots at Norvell

Being a big fan of football, and Coach Prime in particular, the 2008 NBA Champion, in his typical defensive fashion, took a swat at Jay Norvell for his comments on Deion Sanders.

Kevin Garnett endorsed a video that criticized Jay Norvell and shared it on his Instagram stories. Of course, prior to the same, the Big Ticket has used his stories to promote Sanders’ ‘rap edit’ and even gave his stamp of approval to one of the coach’s controversial takes.

KG may not have voiced his opinion regarding the sales till now. But several fans of Prime Time chipped in to make this achievement possible. In order to retaliate, the Colorado student section offered to copy Sanders’ iconic look by adorning a pair of sunglasses and hats during yesterday’s match. Prime Time even gift a pair to the hosts of ESPN’s “First Take”.
