Charles Barkley talks about his biggest fear in the SEC

As the hosts initiated the conversation on Deion Sanders, Sir Charles appreciated Coach Prime’s efforts for the Buffs. Praising the 2x Superbowl winner, Barkley called him a “wonderful person.” However, when the discussion came upon the hiring of a new coach for his alma mater’s football team, the NBA legend also touched on something that scares him about Auburn’s future.

While he is glad to see coach Hugh Freeze take over for the team, he would have loved to see the NFL legend join the Southeastern Conference [SEC] team.

Following this, Charles raved about Coach Prime’s ability. “Once he start recruiting, man — I don’t know if it’s going to be in Colorado, I’ll be honest with you. And him coming to the SEC, I’ll tell you that, right now, that’s my worst nightmare,” Barkley shared.

Justifiably, most conferences would prefer that Coach Prime stay away from them. But the Phoenix Suns legend also thinks it’s likely that Sanders will move somewhere warmer. “Because if he screws around and gets to one of these warm weather climates, the rest is going to be history.”
