When Kevin Garnett arrived at the Boston Celtics, the sports scene at the Hub was heating up. KG made the most of his time with the Celtics by checking out other sports teams there. He’s gushed about watching the rise of Tom Brady as the star of the New England Patriots many times. Back then, Garnett saw Brady and his teammate execute the best tandem, which probably inspired Garnett to step up his game. Over a decade later, the ‘Big Ticket’ hasn’t forgotten that moment.

He brought up the Patriots’ 2007 season on KG Certified earlier this year. The exact moment that left Garnett impressed is back on his mind and his Instagram feed.

Kevin Garnett was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Celtics in 2007. Paul Pierce was in his ninth season with the team then. The duo would form a great partnership on and off the court. One of their favorite things to do together was watching Patriots games.

They spoke about a memorable moment they enjoyed watching the New England Patriots on KG Certified before. Garnett has revived it on his Instagram Stories.

Garnett and Pierce were awestruck by their NFL counterparts

Watching Brady and Moss play must have been inspirational for ‘Big Ticket’ and ‘The Truth.’ The duo would win their first NBA championship title in 2008 with the Celtics.

More than a decade later, they were talking about being there to see Moss and Brady at their finest on KG Certified. “For me to watch Brady pass to Randy Moss was special,” Pierce recalled. “I remember us being on the field and watching them practice and seeing Randy. Even though they lost that year, that was special.”

Garnett reminisced that going to Patriots and Red Sox games with his Celtics teammates was an enjoyable time. His dreams of enjoying the Brady-Moss duo didn’t pan out, however, when Moss left the team in 2010 on a bitter note. Rumors alleged that the QB and the receiver had a locker room feud, but both players and their coach denied the claims. As Garnett felt, the Brady-Moss combination was not successful but memorable.
