NBA legend Kevin Garnett is someone whose interests extend beyond the confines of professional basketball. From posting Eminem’s tracks on his Instagram stories to promoting Terence Crawford for the role of president, the former player has often made use of social media to highlight his praises.

Garnett once again did the same with the breathtaking skills of a prominent Grand Prix racer who recently secured an astonishing victory.

An Instagram account by the name of speedy_ninja1000 recently uploaded a reel. Featuring 25-year-old Spanish Motorcycle racer Jorge Martin, the video highlighted a maneuver performed by the biker that left everyone’s jaws on the floor. The maneuver in itself was too fast to be properly seen by the naked eye. Therefore, for the purpose of close observation, the video’s speed was reduced to a 1000 frames per second. By doing so, viewers caught a glimpse of Martin making a left turn by tilting his motorcycle in the respective direction.

The biker had tilted the vehicle at such a level that his elbow and his shoulder was scraping the pavement. This didn’t seem to mind him, since he was wearing extra protective gear on his upper body. Martin’s maneuver was nothing sort of mesmerizing for a racing enthusiast.

Even the commentators couldn’t hide their amazement at what they saw. Making use of words like “Jaw-dropping” and “Breathtaking”, Martin’s “kiss the curb” maneuver was nothing short of phenomenal in the commentators’ eyes.

The reel capturing the iconic moment also caught the attention of the former Boston Celtics player himself. He uploaded it on his Instagram story to be viewed by his 1 million followers. Just like the commentators, Garnett was blown away by the actions of the Grand Prix racer.

He wrote a caption alongside the story that read “TOUGHHHH” and “Oooooooooooooo…. Now that’s how ‘You leannnnn with it’” accompanied by a couple of emojis.

There are very few individuals over whom the NBA star has gone gaga. Jorge Martin has the honor of being among them.

The city of Misano Adriatico in Italy saw 25+ racers competing with each other to win the San Marino and Rimini Riviera motorcycle Grand Prix. In the end, Jorge Martin emerged victorious in both the sprint and the race. He was just 1.4 seconds ahead of his opponent in the sprint.

The Spaniard was able to progress at a better pace than the championship leader Francesco Bagnaia, who finished third in both of them. When talking about the races ahead, Martin expressed his wish to just “enjoy the moment” and not to be too concerned with other things.

“My target is to just win races. I’m not even a factory rider, so it’s not on me to win the championship,” said Jorge Martin after the race. “I will try to enjoy the moment, but it’s not on me.”
