“Why is it always something that you got to say about me? I don’t bother you…whatever you do I respect you as the OG of the league.” Dwight Howard made his opinion very clear, as he was tired of constant attacks from Shaquille O’Neal. Even the Lakers legend has backed off recently, but it seems the feud is not over. And guess who stepped up? Shaq’s best friend added an embarrassing moment of Howard, which transpired 16 years ago.

In his Instagram story, Anthony C. Hall uploaded a post from the 2009 All-Star game. In the traditional East vs West format, Dwight Howard representing the East challenged Shaquille O’Neal. “‘What we got? What we got’? And with ‘What do you got? What do you got?’The Big Aristotle replied not by words but by his actions.

He responds with a give-and-go between DH12’s legs for the slam dunk. And you know what was more embarrassing, the 3x DPOY was mic’d. In the video that Hall shared, he also added his personal laughing sticker on Instagram. Interestingly, it was the 2008 All-Star game which the feud originated from.

Two centers dominated the opposition and began their careers with the Orlando Magic. Despite these parallels, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard’s relationship soured in 2008. During that all-star weekend, the latter balled out in the dunk contest, but his choice of costume did not impress Shaq. DH12 wore a Superman cape, despite the nickname belonging to the four-time NBA champion.

Ever since that moment, both of them had an exchange of words, which escalated this past year. Howard even suggested a boxing match challenge just like Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson. However, after a continuous back and forth, Shaq decided not to engage again.

Has the beef of Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard really ended?

DH12 was quite vocal and upset by Diesel’s constant poking and jabs. On several podcasts, the former NBA champion stated he tried to end the issues by addressing them face to face. But he never got a positive reply from Shaq. After a social media rant from the two of them, Shaquille O’Neal decided to call it quits.

“@DwightHoward the fact u think I care about u is funny, but I won’t ever bring your name up again sensitive big man, a jokester that can’t take a joke. Won’t ever say your name again ever again. Have a great day and now u have been deleted. Have a great day.” On X, the 4x NBA champion clearly stated he would never speak on the subject matter again. Plus, he also called Howard sensitive and was unable to understand these were jokes.

Even if they were jokes, Dwight Howard felt otherwise. He had his theory about the origin of the beef but wanted to end this as well. For now, there have been no developments or jabs between the two; let’s see how long the truce actually lasts.
