WATCH: Kyle Kuzma Puts in a Strange Basket Against the Suns

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma scored a strange-looking basket during the game against Phoenix Suns on Monday.
The ball appeared to have slipped from the hands of Kuzma when it hit the board and wen into the ring. Kuzma himself was smiling after converting a basket in a manner that nobody expected.

The basket contributed to two of Kuzma’s nine points in the game. He had come off the bench to play 20 minutes as the Lakers registered a comfortable 125-100 win against the Suns.
Their scoring leader Anthony Davis once again led the scoring on the night with 25 points. His 10 rebounds meant that he registered a double-double. Also, the league’s assist leader LeBron James dished out nine assists on the night apart from contributing with 17 points and eight rebounds.

While their star duo contributed in the Lakers win, Rajon Rondo’s performance was also worth noteworthy. Coming off the bench, Rondo scored 23 points apart from his six rebounds and four assists.

“He was terrific tonight really, scoring the ball,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said of Rondo at the end of the game. “It’s really about reading defense. If teams are going to play him for the pass and force him to make shots, then he’s capable from the perimeter as he’s capable going to the basket.”

Another player coming off the bench, Dwight Howard, put in a good performance on the night. He registered a double-double scoring 14 points and taking down 15 rebounds.
These are encouraging signs for the Lakers going deep into the season. With the Lakers expected to make it deep into the post-season, their squad depth will be tested.
