Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso had to leave the court after getting a blow on his face during the game against Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
Caruso came in as a substitute and had hardly spent four minutes on the court. Towards the end of the first quarter, Caruso drove in search of his first point in the game. Orlando’s Mo Bamba denied him with a block near the rim.
As Bamba went to grab the ball, his elbow hit Caruso’s face and he fell to the ground.

Caruso immediately left the court and headed to the locker room. He was also known to have been bleeding.
Alex Caruso underwent concussion protocol
As the game went on, it was reported that Alex Caruso underwent a concussion test- the results of which were inconclusive.
He was ruled out of the game which the Lakers eventually fell short.
Alex Caruso is out for the rest of the game after being elbowed in the mouth in the first quarter. He underwent a concussion evaluation that was inconclusive, per the Lakers. He’ll be re-evaluated tomorrow.

Orlando held on to a one-point victory, ending the Lakers’ nine game winning streak and handing them their eighth defeat of the season.
The Lakers were without Anhony Davis, who is still recovering from his back injury.

While Davis is expected to return soon, Caruso’s injury could keep the Lakers reeling for options in the guard position. Rajon Rondo is already injured and Avery Bradley is returning from his own injury.

The Lakers face Houston Rockets up next on Subday and will want their players to be fit for the important clash.
