Michael Jordan was always a menace. Not only in the NBA but also in college basketball. The man was levels ahead of any other player. It was evident from the start that MJ was a type of player who could change the course of games single-handedly. His impact always influenced the result of the game.
MJ averaged 17.7 points on 54% shooting per game in his 3 years at the University of North Carolina. In 3 seasons with the Tar Heels, MJ played under coach Dean Smith and won one national championship.

The only championship in three years was a special one, as MJ had the last game-winning points. Patrick Ewing’s side Georgetown Hoyas were 62-61 in the lead before MJ scored a jumper to make it 62-63 in UNC’s favor with 15 seconds remaining on the clock. MJ’s clutch points won the game and title for the Tar Heels.
The 1982 title was the only championship with MJ on their team. UNC has won 6 national championships in its history. This year they aimed to get their hands on the championship for the first time since 2009.
