As the top teams of the 2020-21 season are enjoying the playoffs, the bottom teams will have their spotlight tonight. The 2021 NBA Draft lottery will take place tonight and all 14 teams who didn’t qualify for the playoffs will be eager to find out where they stand.
Last year, the lottery was conducted virtually because of the COVID-19 situation. But it will return to its in-person format once again this year. Teams will send their representatives for the lottery, and players, executives and coaches will all be a part of this.
All eyes will be on the Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, and the Orlando Magic since they have the best odds for the number one pick. This format was introduced in 2019, where the three worst teams have the same odds to obtain the top pick. Interestingly, since the change, none of the top 3 teams were able to grab the number one pick. So will it be a repeat this year?
