In the early 2010s, the Miami Heat went on a marauding four-year Finals run. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh teamed up to wreak havoc on the league, but they only ended up with two rings in four years. That’s how good the team was, that two rings in four years seemed like an underachievement.

Then after the 2014 Finals loss to the Spurs, LeBron left in Free Agency, bringing an end to the Heatles. While talking to Shannon Sharpe, Bosh spoke about how he felt when LeBron left.

He said, “We definitely left something on the table. I will always feel like it was an unfinished story. But sometimes the best stories are unfinished. It was a four-year shooting star, and we wanted to continue. I couldn’t imagine if my hometown didn’t like me. At that time, feelings got hurt (but) you have to get over the fact that it is free agency.”

Without demanding for a trade, LeBron completed his contractual obligations at the Heat, and left in 2014. Heat fans were disappointed but couldn’t blame LeBron for wanting to go back home.

Bosh calls LeBron James the greatest player

Bosh continued, “You get used to playing a certain way, and to be frank, he’s a great dude. We’ve known each other since we were 17 years old. The team dynamic was great. It’s LeBron James, you’re playing with the greatest player. I think it reinvigorated everyone.

“For me, I was able to just move forward in my career or what I thought my career was going to take off to. It kind of gave me a fresh kind of outlook on what I could be. And for him, it kind of hurts too right. You’re going over there. They just got KLove and Kyrie. I’m like damn they’re pretty good.”
