The Dallas Mavericks will always count themselves lucky to be able to trade for Luka Doncic. In his three seasons so far, he has proved he is a generational talent, and has the potential to be an all-time great.

His defense may need some work, but his offense is simply ridiculous. He has a knack for taking some of the most audacious shots possible. And with his outrageous skill level, converting them isn’t a tough job. Fans are always off their seats when they see Luka doing this. However, according to teammate Tim Hardaway Jr, the Mavericks aren’t equally surprised.
He said, “My dad (Tim Hardaway Sr, five-time All-Star) made a bunch of shots. But not at the degree of difficulty that Luka’s making them. Euro and one legged floater around two defenders, like he did in Memphis. He’s leaning, and it goes in all net. And he’s walking off nonchalant. Like he’s done this before, which he has in practice.”

“So like I said, I don’t think we are surprised as much but when he does in the game… He does this, basically all the time when we’re clowning around.”

Since his debut with the Mavericks, Doncic has proved that trading for him was a bargain. In his second season, he ended the Mavericks playoff drought of three seasons. They are again in the playoffs, thanks to an amazing season from Doncic. He had MVP shouts as well, after averaging 27.7 points, eight rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game.

So far in these three seasons, he has hit some crazy shots that other players wouldn’t dare to try. His three-point floater against the Grizzlies, his rainbow shot against the Blazers in his rookie season, and his endless step-back threes are some examples of how he can make the most difficult shots look easy.

Along with this shooting ability, Doncic is also one of the best passers in the league. Not only can he attempt flashy passes but also dish out some insane dimes. He may not be close to winning it this season, but next season onwards, Doncic will always be a strong competitor for the MVP award.
