After a great start to their bubble life, the Toronto Raptors fell to the Boston Celtics 100-122. They had come off wins against the Lakers, Heat, and the Magic. So they came into the game as favorites to come out on top. But after a poor shooting night and some excellent defensive display by the Celtics, the Raptors lost their unbeaten run. This leaves Phoenix Suns as the only unbeaten team in the bubble so far.

The Suns have been on a tear. They carried this form from the scrimmage games where they lost just one game. And now after games against the Wizards, Mavericks, Clippers and the Pacers, they stand 4-0. This is the first time since December 2018, that the Suns have won four games in a row.

Will this run take the Phoenix Suns to the playoffs?

Although Devin Booker has been the start of the show, he hasn’t been overburdened. The whole team is in form and chipping in, in every game. Number one overall pick, DeAndre Ayton has been in fine form, averaging 18 points and nine rebounds per game. Spaniard Ricky Rubio is putting up 17 points and six assists per game and is shooting 50% from deep.

The Suns came into the bubble with extremely low chances of making the playoffs. But they are doing all they can to make it to the playoffs for the first time in a decade. With the Blazers winning against the Nuggets, the Suns are now 1.5 games behind the ninth seed. Both teams are now in a race against each other, but the Blazers have a 1.5 game head start.

The Blazers have three games left against the Mavericks, 76ers and the Nets. The Suns have four games left against the Heat, Thunder, 76ers, and the Mavericks. Suns will not only have to do well but also hope that the Blazers stumble.
