Topping a poor season off, the Golden State Warriors were left out of the Orlando bubble. But Draymond Green turned this into an opportunity. He joined the NBA on TNT crew and has been a great addition to the team.

Not only has he provided valuable insight but also a few jokes. Although he had to bear the brunt of the recent ones. During a recent episode, they were all talking about the Denver Nuggets comeback after being 3-1 down to the Utah Jazz. With Draymond sitting next to him, Ernie Johnson emphasized on the 3-1 comeback to trigger the Dubs forward.

After drawing first blood in the series, the Jazz then allowed the Nuggets to get one win to tie it 1-1. After that, the Jazz were on a roll and looked to seal the series at 3-1. But the Nuggets never gave up, and their resiliency propelled them to win the series.

During the 2016 NBA Finals, Draymond and the Warriors were facing the Cavaliers. They had come off a record-breaking 73-9 season and were poised to win the title.

As expected, they started with two dominant wins and it looked like the Warriors were on their way to a back-to-back championship.

Game 3 was a completely unexpected rout as the Cavaliers blew the Warriors out by 30 points. But they got things back in control after easily winning Game 4. 3-1 up in the Finals. No team in the history of the competition had lost from this point. What could go wrong?

After losing in the Finals to them in the previous year, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving said ‘not again’. In the next three games, James averaged 36 points per game while Irving put up 30 points as the Cavaliers did the unthinkable.

They successfully made the comeback from 3-1 to 4-3 and got the first championship in Cleveland’s franchise history.

Although Draymond and the Warriors won the title in the next two years beating the Cavaliers, that defeat will leave always leave a bad taste in their mouth. They were part of NBA history, but on the wrong side sadly.
