The official Warriors account on Twitter also wished him well for the future. After retiring in 2015, he immediately joined them and spent five years with them.

At Golden State, Nash closely worked with current Nets superstar Kevin Durant. So this will be a reunion that fans will be cherishing and eager to see how it plays out.

Can Nash have the similar success he had with the Golden State Warriors?

In his playing career, he was never able to get his hands on the Larry O’Brien trophy. But during his five-year tenure with the Warriors, Nash won two rings with them. In 2016 and 2017, they won back-to-back rings, giving Nash his first-ever NBA title.

With the Nets, he will be aiming to get similar success. A ring as a head coach will matter a lot more than a ring as a player consultant. He has an exciting team to work with, who did well in the bubble despite not having their superstars.

After working with a superstar point guard at the Warriors in Stephen Curry, he is now going to work with Kyrie Irving. Being a two-time MVP and Hall of Famer, Irving cannot ask for a better mentor and coach.

The Nets are heading for exciting times ahead, and Nash will be looking to start off well.
