After taking the Rockets to Game 7, the OKC Thunder bowed out of the postseason after a great run. They were predicted to not even make the Playoffs, but they left everyone impressed. At the helm of this unit was veteran Chris Paul, who was the floor general.

Despite being 35, he still is one of the best point guards in the league, and this impressive season has made him a hot commodity. Many teams seem to be interested in prying him away from OKC, but Paul doesn’t know what is in store for him.

During a recent press conference, he said, “I have no clue. I enjoyed this past season and we’ll see what happens.”

In the regular season, he averaged 17.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game and shot from the field. In the postseason, his numbers bumped up with him averaging 21.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He may not have had playoff success, but he is still an esteemed playoff performer.

Chris Paul says he can make any team a contender

Still hunting for that elusive ring, Paul says any team he plays now is going to be a contender. “I’m 35 and I just finished my 15th year. Any team that I’m on I think that we’re competing for a championship,” Paul said. “And that’s the way we felt this year with OKC. We had a very, very special team and that’s why I think I was hurt and just so mad when we lost.”

He has been linked to three teams- the 76ers, Knicks, and the Bucks- so far. A move to the 76ers or Bucks seems ideal. This could be the best for his career as he attempts to get his first-ever ring. Both teams have fallen short in the Playoffs in recent years. So Paul could take them to the next level.

But his massive $40 million contract could hamper this potentially. Teams would have to give up a lot to match that contract and would be hesitant to give up too many assets. This has the potential to be the biggest move of the off-season, so it will be interesting to see where Paul lands up.
