The Utah Jazz’s playoff journey has come to an end. After a brilliant series that went to Game 7, the Jazz bowed out with a 78-80 loss to the Nuggets. Although the Jazz ended up being the second-best team, it is impossible to not feel for Donovan Mitchell.
The 23-year old was the star throughout the series for the Jazz, averaging 36.3 points per game while shooting an amazing 52% from the three-point line. But despite this record-breaking stat-line, he couldn’t secure them a win.

As he headed to the locker room, Mitchell was inconsolable. But later during the post-game interview, the young star issued a warning that he and the Jazz will only come back stronger from this. “We went from being an unsalvageable team three months ago to this,” Mitchell said. “This won’t happen again.”
Talking about his own potential, Mitchell said there’s a lot more to come. “This is me scratching the surface,” he said. “I know what I can do, I know what I worked for. I know how hard I work. That’s really what’s fueling me. Because this ain’t the end. This is just the beginning. I’m ready to go hoop right now.”
