Despite the Los Angeles Lakers being a top franchise, they haven’t been able to unlock the Toronto Raptors for years. A few hours back, Raptors recorded their 11th straight victory against them after thrashing the LeBron James army by a 107-92. The last time Lakers got an upper hand against them was when Kobe Bryant led them to a famous win on November 30th, 2014.

Well, it was six years ago and since then Raptors have always been on the winning side. We all are aware of the bigs who have played for the Lakers and still they have failed to get past this team. The last man to do so was Kobe Bryant and that was an insane game to be remembered.

Kobe Bryant posted 31 points versus Raptors in 2014

Back in 2014, Mamba displayed an awe-inspiring performance and recorded 31 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds against the Raptors. It was his 20th career triple-double and managed a 129-122 victory, the last ever seen in a matchup with the Raptors. Moreover, he also became the first player in league history with at least 6,000 assists and 30,000 points.

Kyle Lowry performed his way to a victory over Lakers yet again

While the star was in form, Kyle Lowry himself bagged 29 points the same night. And all the way from six years, Lakers have dipped in front of this one team. History has repeated itself even now.

The Lakers who couldn’t tone down the fury of Kyle Lowry in today’s match. Lowry was incredible and posted a game-highest 33 points on the board. This was along with Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, for whom it was also a power-packed performance.

It was a poor show from the big men, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They couldn’t pick up the usual momentum in front of the opponent’s class defense.

The question is, will the Raptors restrict the season favorites from holding the championship in Orlando?
