With the eighth seed on the line, both teams battled hard but the Grizzlies eventually came out on top in overtime. After spending three seasons in the lottery, the Grizz finally returned to where they belong.
It wasn’t an easy game, but they gave their 100%. They are one of the youngest teams in the league, but they have a lot of heart. And it was on full display tonight.
Stephen Curry kept applying the pressure, but the Grizzlies were still able to overcome every challenge thrown their way. The Warriors had a chance to win with the final possession in regulation but failed to do so.

But fans on Twitter had no qualms about five more minutes of such an exciting game. They expected a point guard to win the game, but little did they know that it would be the one from Memphis. Players from across the league also tweeted about the game and praised Morant and the Grizzlies.
Warriors fall short to fearless Grizzlies
In their first play-in game against the Spurs, the Grizzlies showed they wanted it more. They had an excellent start in that game, but it got closer later. They held on to their lead and eventually sealed the game.
And tonight was no different, as the Grizzlies started off hot, once again. They took advantage of it and held on to their lead till the end.
