Lakers Star LeBron James Ties Amazing Records Set by Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan

The Los Angeles Lakers blew out the Portland Trail Blazers last night and followed the same theme as the previous games. LeBron James not only won the game for the Lakers but also broke momentous records.

He finished with 30 points and 10 assists while missing just two shots all night. This exemplary display of shooting and playmaking has been recorded just twice in Playoffs history. Chris Paul, one of the best point guards of this generation, and Michael Jordan, one of the greatest of all-time player, are the only two players to have achieved this record.

LeBron James ties another Laker record

After Jordan, LeBron tied for a record with another all-time great. After racking up 38 points and 12 rebounds in Game 3, LeBron followed it up with another 30-point double-double last night. Kobe Bryant was the last Laker to record this feat.

Moreover, LeBron could record these crazy numbers despite playing just 28 minutes. He wreaked havoc on the Blazers defense throughout the game, and they were clueless on how to stop him. They could not find an answer for him all series, and James has made the most out of it.

He is currently averaging a 25 point triple-double while shooting 55% from the field. After a disappointing run in the seeding games, Playoff LeBron has stepped up when his team has needed him. Anthony Davis has also turned it up a notch and has constantly been a thorn in the side for the Blazers in this series.

The Lakers are now one win away from a gentleman’s sweep and can send the Blazers home on August 26. With Damian Lillard an unlikely participant for Game 5, the Lakers should be able to capitalize on every opportunity they get.
