Recently, the NBA allowed their players to bring in family members into the bubble. After months of staying away from their family, players were finally reunited with their wives and children. Lakers star LeBron James was joined by his wife Savannah, while his kids chose to stay back.

During the post-game press conference after tonight’s win against the Rockets, LeBron revealed why his kids didn’t come to Orlando.

“There’s nothing for them to do,” he said. “I got a 16-year-old, he’s going to sit in the bubble doing what?. I got a 13-year-old and a 5-year-old girl. There’s nothing for them to do here. Park is not open. There’s only so many times she can go to the pool. My kids are too adventurous and love to do so much stuff. It makes no sense for them to be here.”

LeBron James takes Lakers to a win

The Lakers climbed their way back into the series after winning Game 2 tonight. After being unable to carve out a victory in Game 1, LeBron was back to his best as he led the Lakers to the win tonight.

He scored 28 points while shooting 10/17. He also grabbed 11 boards and had nine assists, one shy of another triple-double. But his performance went beyond the stat line. He orchestrated the offense and was influential on defense too.

When your stars lead by example, the whole team is motivated. Markieff Morris, Rajon Rondo, and Kyle Kuzma also stepped up and were vital contributors in the win tonight. The Lakers need a team effort like this in the playoffs and cannot go all the way relying on individual brilliance.
