The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. It started as a close game, but the Lakers held off the pressure and took home the win. In the absence of Anthony Davis, LeBron James was the star of the show once again. He had an excellent game, but a rare lowlight was enough for Twitter fans to start trolling him.

Late in the third quarter, LeBron attempted a logo three, a shot he has executed often. He missed badly tonight, and it ended in an airball. Fans immediately started with their jokes as soon as LeBron missed the shot.

But there were still a few fans who knew that LeBron still has that shot in his arsenal.

Just a few weeks ago, LeBron also hit a logo three against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. It hasn’t even been a month since then, but fans are quick to forget things when it comes to criticizing LeBron.

No Anthony Davis? No problem! LeBron James leads the Lakers to a win

During their last game against the Nuggets, Anthony Davis left midway because of an injury. That hurt the Lakers, and they ended up losing the game because they were left defenseless against Nikola Jokic, who led his team to the win.

Tonight, they were up against another elite big man in Karl-Anthony Towns. But he had a quiet game and didn’t have much impact. On the other hand, LeBron stepped up for the Lakers and avoided a two-game losing streak.

Bron finished the game with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists. He also shot an efficient 13-20 and played his part on both ends. New arrival Dennis Schroder supported him well and chipped in with 24 points. Montrezl Harrell also continued his consistent scoring and had 17 points tonight.

This was an important win for the Lakers as they have a big game coming up on Thursday. They face the Brooklyn Nets, who are one of the biggest threats to their title defense. Not having AD is a huge loss for them, but there is a chance Kevin Durant might miss out as well. There will be a lot at stake during that game, and the Lakers will need LeBron to step up once again to lead them.
