LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been practicing hard in the Bubble. They are the favorites to win the title, spearheaded by their two-headed beast of LeBron and Anthony Davis. Though they lost Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley, the veteran cast is experienced enough to make it through.

The team is practicing with the coaching staff, being led by assistant coach Phil Handy. Handy has championship DNA as a coach. He was on the Cavaliers that beat the Warriors in 2016 and was there for all their Finals losses as well. He joined Nick Nurse’s coaching team last season and went on to win another ring. Handy re-joined the Lakers this season, after spending three years here early in his coaching career. He has said that LeBron is one of the most coachable guys in the league.

After the Lakers’ recent practice session, Handy had an exchange with LeBron on Instagram. Handy put a picture of ‘Bron dunking on him with the caption ‘Can’t stand anywhere near the rim with this dude’. James responded by saying “Ha! My bad my G.”

The Lakers currently sit atop the Western Conference and are expected to easily hold on to their number one seed. However, they have their issues.

The team misses Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley from their guard rotation, meaning ‘Bron has a heavier load to carry. Losing two backups, Lakers will have to rely on Quinn Cook and Alex Caruso’s ball-handling and playmaking skills when James is off the floor.

However, the Lakers have a strong forward rotation. Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee start games, but have Dwight Howard, Kyle Kuzma, and Markieff Morris to back them up. LeBron can be expected to play any position 1 through 4, especially if he shares the court with Kentavious-Caldwell Pope and Caruso.
