Trail Blazers star point guard, Damian Lillard is moving forward with numbers and records in the Bubble. Lillard led his team to a much-needed win over Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. In the same match, he became the first player in NBA history with 45+ points, 10+ assists, 10+ threes in a single game.

The All-Star displayed some experience against the Nuggets and recorded 45 points, 12 assists, and 4 rebounds in 41 minutes. He was aided by Jusuf Nurkic, who added 22 points to the Blazers victory.

Moreover, it was a great shooting night for Lillard from inside the paint, and especially from the perimeter. He was bagging 11/18 threes in the match and recorded a field goal percentage of 61.9%.

He set an NBA record with 45+ points, 10+ assists, 10+ threes in a single game. That is definitely something for the big man. None could do that in the past, and the question is, who can do it in the future?

It was Lillard’s eighth 40-point or plus game in this season. The threes he swooped in made a lot of difference to the game. Damian Lillard is averaging 29.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 8 assists per game this time in the league.

Lillard was a treat on the floor the other night and pulled his team to the third win in the bubble. The fact remains, that Blazers are still in the race for the eighth seed on the table. Phoenix Suns are trailing right behind the Blazers in the Western Conference with all four wins since the season’s resumption.

It is turning out to be a dramatic battle for that particular spot this season, and we are yet to see who makes it to the playoffs.

For now, Portland Trail Blazers will take on the LA Clippers in their next matchup tomorrow, August 8.
