When the going gets tough, the tough get going. With the whole of NBA twitter slandering him every day, Paul George stepped up and shut his haters in the best way possible. The Los Angeles Clippers star went berserk tonight as he scored 35 points in just 25 minutes. He just missed six times throughout the game and took his team to a 43-point blowout win over the Mavericks.

In the post-game interview, he revealed he had a tough time following the slump he was going through.

“I was just in a dark place,” George said. “I really wasn’t here, I checked out. The past couple of games was just difficult. Shout-out to the people who stood behind me and were in my corner. I thank everybody that reached out to me. I was in a bad place. But I found my way. I’m back. I look forward to the rest of this run.”

He averaged just 11 points while shooting 21% from the field and a terrible 11% from the three-point line. And tonight’s performance was the perfect redemption.
