Chicago Bulls have accelerated their rebuild after yet another disappointing season in 2019-20. Head Coach Jim Boylen was sacked as the new General Manager, Artūras Karnišovas, kick off an extensive rejig.
His first major hire was the former Oklahoma City Thunder Coach, Billy Donovan. Donovan was coming off an unlikely fifth-seed finish after trading superstars Russell Westbrook and Paul George away. Donovan stepped down and took the job in Chicago.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Bulls have made another addition to their coaching staff. They signed the former Milwaukee Bucks Assistant Coach, Josh Longstaff, to join Donovan on the bench.

Longstaff has been a basketball coach since 2005. He first started building a name as a high-school coach before he joined the pre-Donovan OKC Thunder as an assistant.
He would then go on to spend three years as an assistant with the New York Knicks before managing the G-League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks. Longstaff joined the Bulls after 2 years on Mike Budenholzer’s Milwaukee Bucks staff line-up.

Zach LaVine has emerged as a borderline all-star with his exciting play and cartoonish numbers, giving Bulls fans a reason to cheer for. Hopefully, that progress can turn itself into a playoff appearance for the fledgling Bulls.
A lot of changes will be made to the roster after the Bulls cash in the fourth overall pick in this draft. Longstaff and the other assistants have a tall task ahead of them in getting this team back to winning ways. A challenge that they’re looking to counter head-on.
