After years of complaining about the monotony in the game mode, 2K has finally introduced big changes for MyLeague. They had recycled the same game with a few namesake features for years, but with next-gen, NBA 2K21 has revamped it. MyLeague, MyGM, and MyLeague Online have been clubbed to form the MyNBA. So what are these new features?

Playable G League Games

This is a much-requested returning feature. Players can switch on or off the G-League depending on if they want to play the games. Players will can check the schedule on the Daily View tab. Similar to the other NBA games, the G-League games can be played or simulated with regular sim, SimCast, or SimCast Live.

A new addition to this is, till a player is 23, they will have their potential based on multiple factors “so that every player will still be exciting during the developmental years.”

Finally, there is now a minimum and maximum potential attribute, so users can manually build a storyline for the players too.

New Staff

This is a minor addition. 2K has now added one more assistant coach that players can hire. These coaches will affect the team and will be available on the bench during the game.

2K Share Setups & 2K Share Scenarios

This is also a feature that was available in the current-gen game. With Share Setups, users can create their own MyLeague with retro teams and players, and then share it so that other users in the community can also play along.

With Share Scenarios, users can now save their progress in a certain MyNBA file, and other users can continue from that stage. So if a user takes the Lakers to the NBA Finals, others in the community and start their journey from that point and continue that playoff run.

Tattoos

Another heavily requested returning feature, 2K have finally brought back customizable tattoos for players. They have promised it to be more advanced than anything we have seen so far, so it could be interesting.

New Slide Nav

Finally, we have the new slide nav, which is more of a visual than a feature. With a flick of the Right Stick, players can access the menus now. This looks easier to access and will be more user-friendly for new players.

Other minor features added in MyNBA

Previously, the minimum teams required for a MyLeague was 30 and players could have up to 36 teams. But now players can reduce this number to 12, and can relive the past years where teams were fewer.

Players can also GM every single team if they want to, which was not available earlier in MyGM. Finally, players can choose if they want particular MyGM features in their MyLeague now, to make it a complete customizable experience.
