Ex OKC Thunder teammate has a hilarious response to Chris Paul’s recent IG post

The Oklahoma City Thunder traded their star Russell Westbrook and brought in Chris Paul last season. The team was full of young players and with 2 notable veterans in Paul and Adams.

To everyone’s surprise, the Thunder still remained as a playoff team and came very close to beating James Harden’s Houston Rockets.

This season, the Thunder have made it clear that they want a proper rebuild around their star Shai Gilgeous Alexander. They have exchanged multiple veterans for draft picks or much younger players.

CP3 recently put up some of his workout pictures in his Instagram post. To this, his ex-teammate Shai had a hilarious response saying, “See u in 3 days.. oh wait nvm”

Under Chris Paul’s leadership, Shai has become a much better player. This jump was also visible in his numbers. He averaged 19 points, 3.3 assists, and 5.9 rebounds. OKC will be hoping that Shai builds on his success.

What can we expect from the OKC Thunder?

Coming into the season, Thunder looked like a side who can have a good playoff run again; that is if they retained all their stars. But Sam Presti clearly had some other ideas.

They first traded superstar Chris Paul to the Suns and acquired stars like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ricky Rubio. In a day or two, these players were also traded, and Thunder acquired multiple draft picks.

Thunder have now become a team that is ready to accept any trade scenarios where they are being given draft picks. They are even accepting veterans with big contracts.

The team is clearly in for a proper rejig. From the trades of Paul George and Russell Westbrook, they had already gathered a number of draft picks. By their trades this season, they have just increased the number of picks they have.

Thunder are surely in no position to make it to the Playoffs. With the team now centered around Shai Gilgeous- Alexander, OKC will hope that their star can become a superstar over the course of the next 2-3 seasons.

The OKC Thunder have a number of draft picks with them. In the upcoming 2-3 seasons they will have multiple tradable assets and can trade for any wantaway superstar.

They might not make it to the Playoffs for 2 seasons but the way Presti is running the team, Thunder are surely going to be a scary team.
