The Oklahoma City Thunder traded their star Russell Westbrook and brought in Chris Paul last season. The team was full of young players and with 2 notable veterans in Paul and Adams.
To everyone’s surprise, the Thunder still remained as a playoff team and came very close to beating James Harden’s Houston Rockets.
This season, the Thunder have made it clear that they want a proper rebuild around their star Shai Gilgeous Alexander. They have exchanged multiple veterans for draft picks or much younger players.

Under Chris Paul’s leadership, Shai has become a much better player. This jump was also visible in his numbers. He averaged 19 points, 3.3 assists, and 5.9 rebounds. OKC will be hoping that Shai builds on his success.
What can we expect from the OKC Thunder?
Coming into the season, Thunder looked like a side who can have a good playoff run again; that is if they retained all their stars. But Sam Presti clearly had some other ideas.
They first traded superstar Chris Paul to the Suns and acquired stars like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ricky Rubio. In a day or two, these players were also traded, and Thunder acquired multiple draft picks.
