LeBron James and Kevin Durant are the best players that Quinn Cook has played with. Cook named them in an AMA session with Bleacher Report. While it might not be surprising, Cook, who played two seasons for Golden State Warriors, did not name Stephen Curry.

Although Cook was a part of the Warriors side for two seasons, he went to their G-league affiliate in his first season. Curry is undeniably one of the best players in the Warriors side. He is often associated with having revolutionized the game of basketball with his three-point shooting.

The Warriors have built their game around Curry and his three-points and enjoyed their most successful decade in the NBA. With his incredible shooting spree, Curry won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for two consecutive seasons in 2015 and 2016.

His Warriors have been in the last five NBA Finals winning three of them. It hence remains surprising as to why Cook didn’t name Curry among the best players he has played with.

Cook’s pick included Durant, another of his teammates at the Warriors. The now-31-year-old came into the side in 2016 and massively strengthened the team. The choice is rather unsurprising considering the Brooklyn Nets star’s achievements. He won two consecutive Finals MVP awards as the Warriors won two titles with him in the side.

After two years with the Warriors, Cook signed with Los Angeles Lakers last summer. This gave him an opportunity to team up with LeBron James. Cook said James was the teammate who always kept everyone entertained.

“He’s the class clown, joking all day all night, on the plane and the bus. Joking, keeps everyone entertained. He’s always locked in, but he keeps everybody light. He doesn’t ever want us to get too serious.

“Obviously, when we take a loss or not playing well, he’s the first to get on us and build us back up, but he keeps everything light,” he said during the AMA session.
