Could things with James Harden and the Houston Rockets get any more complicated? Well, it looks like both of them are willing to hold their ground for as long as it takes.

While on one hand, Harden wants nothing more than a trade that leads him away from Houston, the Rockets are not ready to give him up just yet. Not unless they get someone as valuable as Harden.

So, where does that leave us? Harden protesting unethically, something that no one appreciates. After 7 years with this franchise and consistent failures in the Playoffs, Harden was done.

On top of that, firing Mike D’Antoni was the last straw for him. As soon as they entered the offseason, he demanded to be moved to the Brooklyn Nets where could play with former teammate, Kevin Durant.

However, it’s not that easy, is it? The Rockets showed no signs of giving in to these demands, so Harden found a way to get their attention.

Training camp began in the first week of December, but Harden hasn’t turned up for any of the workouts yet. At first, it seemed like this was just a mere hiccup and Harden will be back in no time, but that’s not the case at all.

Is James Harden digging a hole for himself?

Nobody is pleased with his behavior, but it doesn’t seem to affect him. Now, he has shown an interest in any of the contending teams as long as he gets out of there. What can possibly come out of this mutiny?

Former NBA champion, Kendrick Perkins dropped his two cents about the same, “Harden has the right to demand a trade but I don’t agree with how he’s handling the situation and it’s only making this situation worse for both sides!!! Carry on…”

Who would have thought that a team that considers him the face of the franchise will get repaid like this. Do you think it’s unfair to Harden to not get what he wants after putting his heart and soul into leading them as far as he could?

The Rockets can only hope this comes to an end as soon as possible so that they can get back to training.
