The Golden State Warriors dominated the league for most of the 2010s decade. However, after winning three NBA championships, the Dubs hit a bump in the 2019-20 NBA season.

They finished in the last place in the league and missed the playoffs. But with the team healthy once again, the Dubs will be looking forward to winning another title soon.

Former Warriors player Shaun Livingston had some advice for the team as they return after an abysmal season.

“I think it’s just being able to find contributions all throughout the team. Even when you are top-heavy a little bit, there comes a point in the games where it could be a long game, and then you get into the playoffs as well, it becomes even more paramount. Playing seven-game series, you’re looking for contributions throughout the lineup. So, I think it’s just shoring up.

“There’s also, too, last year with the team going through changes, becoming younger, maybe looking at trying to get veteran pieces or maybe certain guys to come in. But it’s just looking to try to get contributions all throughout. I think that’s the biggest thing. You look at the teams that are going deep in the playoffs, the depth is there — of course the star power is there — but you also have contributions from complementary roles.”

The roster has changed quite a lot for the Warriors in just one year. Not only they lost superstar Kevin Durant in free agency, but the supporting cast is looking quite different as well. Like Livingston said, they need to add more depth to their roster to prepare for anything they might face next season.

Honestly, the Warriors might not pick up the pace right from the start. Along with a new supporting cast, their two superstars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are coming off of serious injuries.

This long absence might hinder the chemistry for the team during the early days of the season. But when the season commences, the Dubs should be one of the top teams in the league. Also, they might become the ones to dethrone the Lakers as the 2020 NBA champions if everything pans out perfectly for them.
