When we talk about today’s generation players, Stephen Curry will be topping the charts. The greatest of all time, Michael Jordan made an entire era to his name. Well, the Golden State Warriors star is coming close to Jordan’s achievements. And he has stepped ahead of him in his efficiency in playoffs. Is it too soon?

Stephen Curry, drafted in 2009, has become a terrific player over the years and considered an inspiration to this generation. After winning three championships and two MVP awards, many would like to call him the greatest shooter in NBA history. He has recorded a career field goal percentage of a massive 47.6.

When we begin to compare Curry’s playoff statistics, they are prolific numbers that many players of this time haven’t reached. Chicago Bulls star, Michael Jordan surpasses him in playoff numbers any day, but one aspect where it goes the other way round is the effective field goal percentage.

Stephen Curry May Make it to the Top Very Soon in NBA Playoffs

The famous point guard, Curry has played 7 playoffs in his 11-season career until now. He has an effective field goal percentage in playoffs of a massive 55.8 in comparison to Michael’s 50.3. Curry surpasses likes of Chris Paul (52.9), LeBron James (52.8), and Kevin Durant (52.8) in his efficiency any day. Kobe Bryant stands even lower at 48%.

The short heightened talent has made it to the finals a significant number of times, but one thing that pulls him back is that he never managed a finals MVP. Even though his efficiency beats these greats at a higher level, he is still short of this achievement. On the other hand, Michael has won all six Finals MVP awards for his six NBA titles.

Curry is an exuberant scoring juggernaut and his accuracy is what sets him apart. 3-point shooting looks like a cakewalk for him. He has revolutionized the way the game is played at this time in the NBA. When we compare him to Michael, it’s an accomplishment in itself. But Michael has flourished in his playing days and proved his game in pressure situations time and again.

One of the best players in the league today is making it close to Michael Jordan and could cross him at any point soon. If he continues with the same accuracy he holds and his numbers increase at such a rate, it won’t be a surprising sight to watch hi,m above Michael’s records in playoffs.
