Golden State Warriors are looking at Anthony Edwards for the upcoming NBA Draft.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that contrary to popular belief, the Warriors will not be going for the likes of LaMelo Ball or James Wiseman if they have their first overall pick. They are instead looking to pick Georgia Bulldogs’ 18-year-old shooter Anthony Edwards.

Some cohesive thoughts here on why Anthony Edwards is the No. 1 guy in the 2020 NBA draft.
Despite an up-and-down year, the Georgia freshman definitely showed enough to be deserving of the top selection in this year’s draft.

Edwards is expected to come into the 2020 NBA draft after having won the SEC freshman of the year award.
LaMelo Ball would be surplus to the Golden State Warriors
However, many believe that that though LaMelo Ball is the biggest prospect in the draft, he might not be perfect for the Warriors. The team has Stephen Curry at the guard position and Ball will be surplus to their needs if he joins them.
Not long ago, the Warriors had an All-Star, D’Angelo Russell, in their team who could serve as an example of why Ball might not fit with the Dubs. The Warriors, who were always looking at Russell as a trade asset, traded him to Minnesota Timberwolves a few months back.

The possibility of welcoming an exciting prospect to their team is certainly alluring for the Warriors. Before the league’s suspension, the team was at the bottom of the Western Conference. Also, they had the worst record in the NBA.
