Kevin Durant has seen several ups and downs during his NBA career. Earlier, he was one of the most beloved players in the league, but during his stint with the Warriors, his role was reversed. However, with him joining the Nets, he has a chance to improve his legacy.

If Durant can win a ring or two with the Nets, it should be enough to erase past hate. Moreover, KD has a terrific teammate in Kyrie Irving to aid him in achieving that goal, and now the team has added former two-time MVP Steve Nash to coach them.

Nash recently praised KD at the Nets’ town hall event back on Tuesday.

We have a strong relationship and I think it actually started when I was finishing my career. Ironically, Adam Harrington, one of our assistant coaches with the Nets, was at the time Kevin’s personal coach.

“… He’s just a human being that I have a lot of love for and a lot of belief in, in the type of person he is and character he is. As far as a basketball player, he’s historically unique and impactful. He’s one of the all-time greats already, and he’s still got a chapter to write here.”

Kevin Durant is a great player, but above all, he is a great human being. During his career, he has given back to the NBA fans on numerous occasions, but in the last few years, many fans have forgotten that.
Maybe if KD wins a ring for the Nets, the hate will finally stop and fans will cherish a great player.
