The Atlanta Hawks took an aggressive route this offseason. After being at the bottom of the league for so many years, they acquired the best pieces like Rajon Rondo and Bogdan Bogdanovic to fill up all the issues in the roster. Since the team is improving every passing day, the Atlanta Hawks could be the underdogs to look out for.
The Hawks utilized the vast amount of cap space they had when they entered the offseason. With Trae Young on the roster, the team doesn’t have any voids on that end, but playmaking was a problem. However, with Rando’s presence, the Hawks are good to go there. He is one of the best veterans they could have on their team, as we saw with the Lakers.
Then comes defense. This is somewhere they severely lacked in. However, adding Danilo Gallinari and Bogdanovic, this aspect will improve exponentially as well. Thus, it is clear that the Hawks are working towards becoming a contender and least of all, land a place in the playoffs.

Redick replied, “They’ve been at the bottom of the league for the last couple of years. I like what they did in the offseason. They’re all in on shooting and at the same time, they still have some versatile wing defenders.

“They can get the job done at the end of the game. I like that they have surrounded Trae young with other shooters. They have guys like Gallinari, Rondo, that have come in, that know how to play. I think that’s a team that will make a jump this year.”

With such a young roster, things are looking up for them. And given the value they bring to the table at such a young age, it’s up to the Hawks to give them a place where they can channel their potential the best way possible. If they manage that, the Hawks can be a potential championship.
