“Just No Dates”: Los Angeles Clippers Coach Gives a Peek at Life Inside the Orlando Bubble

Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers was the latest one to praise the facilities inside the NBA bubble in Orlando,

Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Rivers felt there were a lot of things to do inside the bubble except for dates.

“There’s restaurants, guys can go fishing, there’s bowling, there’s movies, there’s a lot. There’s just no dates. You’re doing it alone or with a group,” Rivers said (Via Farhood Esnaashari of Sports Illustrated).

Los Angeles Clippers will be aiming for the championship

As the Clippers get ready to restart their campaign, they will have their eyes set on the title. The summer signings from the Clippers significantly strengthened the side, They signed last season’s Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Paul George making them title contenders. With the two on the side, the Clipper had a good start to the season. Prior to the league’s suspension, the Clippers were second in the Western Conference with 44 wins in 64 games. Four months later, as the team resumes practice sessions, Rivers felt the players have shown good shape.

“I know conditioning-wise, overall, we’ve shown to be in really good shape. I’ve been pleasantly surprised there,” he said.

Getting into the bubble as a team to restart the season hasn’t been straight forward for the Clippers. Their rookie Terrance Mann said that the team had about five different sessions discussing about a potential return to finish the season.

The Clippers will restart their campaign with a game against their local rivals Los Angeles Lakers on July 30. They later have games against New Orleans Pelicans Phoenix Suns, and Dallas Mavericks before playing Portland Trail Blazers. They end their seeding games after playing Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
