Pau Gasol was a phenomenal player during his prime with the Los Angeles Lakers. Post that, he’s proved that he’s an even better human being.

Ever since Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant’s death, he has not let any opportunity pass by to honor the two and to showcase his support to Vanessa. Pau has taken care of the Bryant family like his own and always done something that fans have admired.

Pau was blessed with a baby girl, and he honored Gianna in a heartwarming way. He took to social media to announce the same.

Our little one has finally arrived!! The delivery went really well and we couldn’t be happier!! Elisabet Gianna Gasol, a very meaningful name for our super beautiful daughter!!”

Pau also made Vanessa Bryant the Godmother of his child. Vanessa was delighted with Gasol’s little gesture and reacted in a loving way. She clearly seems excited about seeing her newborn goddaughter.

Pau has won the hearts of basketball fans once again with this sweet gesture. Everyone deserves a special friend like Pau in their life. Looking at these gestures makes the fans miss Kobe and Gigi even more.

There are no doubts that Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol were a dynamic duo in the 2010s. Pau was the Robin to Kobe’s Batman and as a result, they won two NBA championships as teammates. Moreover, Kobe respected Paul and vice versa both on and off the court.

In seven seasons playing for the purple and gold, Gasol averaged a respectable 17.7 points per game while shooting 52.2% from the field. Also, he was a good defender during that run, if not an elite defender.

On the other hand, Kobe was a true monster on both ends of the court during their championship runs. If it weren’t for injury troubles, the duo might have had a few more rings to their name.
