Lou Williams has been an instrumental piece for the Los Angeles Clippers in the quest for an NBA championship. The multi-time Sixth of the year provides the offensive surge for the second unit for the team.

So far in the Playoffs, Lou is averaging 14.1 points while shooting 45.6% from the field for the Clippers. But Lou took his own sweet time settling down in the NBA bubble atmosphere. Yes, you guessed it right, the incident that happened back in July.

Lou Williams escaped the NBA Bubble for ‘personal reasons’ and was later found at a club partying all night. Also, he was eating lemon wings, which gave birth to a new nickname – “Lemon Pepper Lou.”

It was Undisputed’s Shannon Sharpe that coined the nickname for the Clippers star.

The nickname stuck, and apparently Lou Williams trademarked this unique nickname. Well, that’s one way to make some extra bucks, right? Back when the incident happened, Lou became meme material overnight.

Ya’ll make jokes and t shirts, but it’s gonna cost ya lol. Yep. First time I’ve owned a joke lol.” said Lou in his Instagram story.

However, he paid the price for his endeavors, as the Clippers lost that game 103-101 to their bitter rivals Los Angeles Lakers. Furthermore, Lou had to quarantine for ten days before he could return with the team for games.

As a result, the Clippers were a man down for the first few games of the Bubble.

The Clippers will most likely advance to the WCF after the next game. It will be the first time in franchise history that they will make it past the second record. The credit goes to none other than Kawhi Leonard, who has carried the team on his back in the stacked West.

Can the Clippers close out the series in five games? Or the celebrations have to wait for some more time? Only time will tell.
