Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso recently had an interview with Evan Daniels of CBS Sports. In the interview, Caruso had words of high praise for LeBron James.
“Yeah, great teammate first and foremost. Good person,” Caruso said.
“I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. You know, everybody likes to analyze his basketball game so much and there’s a lot to analyze cuz he’s really good, but he’s a heck of a teammate, great person, just one of the guys.”
Caruso and James have been playing together since 2017, since the Lakers drafted the former. He expressed pride at how the Lakers get along as a unit, comparing his current teammates with his highschool basketball team.
“Everybody is just themselves. Whatever it is people just accept them for it. Honestly, it’s been a breath of fresh air just to be able to have a team like this ’cause I don’t think I’ve had a team this close since maybe high school.”
When comparing the two, Caruso said, “It says a lot because I lived with my college teammates, I spent every day with them. I have some really good relationships and bonds with those guys. This team just for some reason is very professional and obviously very friendly with each other. We get along.”
LeBron James has always been on the good side of his teammates professionally. Despite harsh words from critics, James continues to be among the best players of this era.
James’ positive attitude has had a major impact. He has always used his fame and fortune to benefit the underprivileged. The player’s role in ‘I Promise School’ located in his hometown, Akron, Ohio has greatly helped at-risk youth get the support and education they need to succeed.

James’ positive energy was also on full display when the Lakers legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away earlier this year. Through his actions, James showed that it was healthy and normal to grieve the loss.
Further, the player has the best leadership qualities this season. He trained himself physically and mentally to reach the playoffs and encouraged his teammates to do the same.
Unfortunately, even though the Lakers successfully managed to get into the playoffs, they couldn’t celebrate for long. Soon, the NBA shut down all its operations because of the Coronavirus and the season stood suspended.
