AD’s inclusion in the team has made a drastic change. The Lakers last year were on a poor run, missing the playoffs for the sixth straight year. However, this season, the pairing of LeBron and Davis has been a treat to watch.

Anthony Davis is a great talent who is undeniably one of the Top 5 players in the league at the moment. He’s evolved into a much better player after coming to the Lakers, adding a bit more finesse to his game.

Coach Vogel highlighted how LeBron James stood alongside AD as a “big brother,” helping him sharpen his skills. “He’s pulling him along, challenging him when he needs to be challenged, talking out ways to cover things on the defensive end, showing him ways to attack offensively, how he can be used,” Vogel said, talking about how LBJ impacts Davis.

Lakers teammates LeBron and AD are just vibing too well

LeBron James is in his 17th year in the league and still going strong. King James is hungrier than ever for his fourth ring, and his first as a Laker. Davis teaming with LeBron this year will certainly be an enriching experience for the former Pelican.

Frank Vogel further pointed out how LBJ is impacting Davis on a daily basis. “And maybe more than anything, setting a great example of his approach every day, the mental focus, attention to detail, the way he takes care of his body, all those types of things.”

The connection we’ve seen between LBJ and Davis has been exciting. They seem to be getting along so well right from their first year as teammates. The duo is locked in on winning the title this season, ending the Lakers’ long drought.

Vogel mentioned that it’s been a “blessing” to watch his two superstars get along with so much comfort. The air is certainly strong in the Lakers’ camp, inspired by the leadership of LeBron. “I don’t fully know, but I think they both just have a great way about them,” Vogel said, talking about LBJ and Davis’ chemistry.

“They’re both easy-going, they like to laugh and have fun, they both care about the game the same way. It’s just one of those things that worked out in our favor.”
