The alleged homicide of George Floyd has triggered protests everywhere. People across the globe are demanding an end to police brutality and racial discrimination in the United States. The issue is growing in terms of the number of people voicing their concerns. But LeBron James has been an active supporter of the movement ever since Floyd’s death. 

The past two days have been a troublesome one for NFL quarterback Drew Brees. Ever since he commented on his dislike towards people kneeling down to the national anthem in the name of protest, vile comments have followed the New Orleans Saints athlete. 

Killer Mike, who is known for his activism apart from his rapping talents, publically voiced his thoughts on Brees’ comments recently. Joining Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on their show ‘UNDISPUTED,’ the 45-year-old meticulously carried out his thoughts to his fellow citizens.

“Drew is tied to the whipping post and deservedly so. My response yesterday was, [Drew Brees] is an incredibly intelligent quarterback who said something incredibly stupid,” Killer Mike said. “But I need Americans to know that this stupidity is thought to you all.”

LeBron James lauds Killer Mike for speaking out his mind 

The leader of the LA Lakers team, LeBron James knows what he represents in the society. LeBron has been incredibly influential during these testing times for the entire world. The 35-year-old clearly knows his social media posts will reach the masses.

LeBron has been very active in voicing his comments and appreciating those who stand up against injustice. Likewise, Killer Mike’s activism has earned him the respect of LeBron James and vice versa. The four-time MVP even shared Mike’s speech in Atlanta when he spoke to a gathering about the negativity of violent protests. 

Mike’s diverse speech on the issues pertaining to Floyd’s death has resonated with LeBron James. He even shared the clip with a caption that reveals his undivided attention to Killer Mike’s solid statements. 

In his Instagram story, the Lakers star shared Mike’s video clip and lauded his authenticity and the outspoken mind on the issue. “Pure authentic. I’m listening,” James wrote, adding a couple of emojis to support his statement.
