Speaking to ESPN reporters on video-call, James expressed his concerns about the ongoing situation. “I don’t know if I will be able to have any closure,” said James, who is competing in his 17th season in the NBA.

It has been four weeks since the league shut down, and it is in the minds of every player and fan on how to react if the league can’t resume.

LeBron James And The Lakers’ Monumental Run

Playing under a new coach for the first time, the Lakers did a great job of keeping things together. The entire system functioning around the Staples Center was new. To play the way they have been doing this season was really impressive.

“I can have some satisfaction on what our team has been able to do this year,” expressed James. He further added that he honestly didn’t think they would come together as fast as they did. “I thought it would take us a lot longer than it did. But I was wrong. I was very wrong about that.”

James Reflecting On The League’s Resumption

LeBron James, who had earlier shut down talks when asked about playing without fans, has now taken a more genuine stance. He sounds more optimistic now and a lot more hopeful than he was a month ago.

He feels that their faithful fanbase will be there to support them regardless of where and how they are playing. “We know they’ll be home cheering us on, online, on their phones, on their tablets watching us playing, so hopefully we can bottle that energy that we know we’re getting from them,” stated James.

Any NBA player would love it if the season gets back going again. The four-time MVP believes this as well. The Lakers still stay in touch with each other through chat and video calls.

Quarantine doesn’t mean time to rest for James. He still works out regularly, meditates and shoots hoops with his 15-year-old son Bronny.

James also mentioned that this roadblock is not only instrumental for the Americans, but for the entire world. “It’s a test of our mental side, our spiritual side, it’s a test for everything.”

If the season resumes and the Lakers continue to weave their magic with LeBron to guide them, they might go all the way towards another championship which might even earn LeBron James his fifth MVP title.
