‘Love This Dude’: LeBron James Has a Good Laugh over Russell Westbrook’s Training Video

All heads turned to Washington Wizards after they pulled off a blockbuster trade, sending John Wall to the Houston Rockets and reuniting Russell Westbrook with his former coach, Scott Brooks. Now that the training camp has begun, a sneak peek of Westbrook’s on-court interaction with his new teammates was revealed. Lakers‘ LeBron James stumbled upon the clip on Twitter and couldn’t help but find it amusing.
The Wizards are definitely on the winning end of the trade because Wall was a long time star with them, but his value diminished over time because of injuries. However, Westbrook is a healthy nine-time NBA All-Star, who is set to bring in a winning culture to Washington.
The biggest reason Westbrook did not fit in with the Rockets was James Harden. Both of them are ball-dominant players, and for Westbrook, being anything else was unacceptable. He could not play his best because he was unable to do what he’s good at.

Of course, there are certain areas he needs to work on, one of them being three-pointers. In the previous season, he only averaged 25.8% beyond the arc. Even his defense is a little questionable, so it will be interesting to see how he fits in with the Wizards’ team.
LeBron James loves watching Westbrook train
A video featuring Westbrook in training camp has gone viral. He can be seen yelling, “Scotty said I can’t dunk!” while he propels in the air and dishes the ball to Rui Hachimura. It also shows Russell attempting to juggle the basketball like a football and bonding with his teammate, Anzejs Pasecniks.
The way Westbrook conducts himself is always fun to watch. Even LeBron reposted the video and wrote, “Love this dude!!!”
