Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic had his 29th 30-point game on Friday when he dropped 33 points against Orlando Magic. This marked his return to league action after the All-Star break in a record-breaking fashion.
Just 20-years old, Doncic surpassed Kevin Durant for the most 30-point games by a player before his 21st birthday. Also, Doncic became the first player in the NBA to score 300 three-pointers before turning 21.

Doncic almost had a triple-double on Friday when he registered 10 rebounds and eight assists to go with his 33 points. To support him was Kristaps Porzingis who finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. On the back of their performances, the Mavericks cruised to their 34th win in the season.
Luka Doncic- a real MVP candidate in his sophomore season
Luka Doncic has been a real sensation this season. After winning the rookie of the year award in the 2018/19 season, Doncic has picked up to become one of the best players in the league. This season he has averaged an impressive 28.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8.7 assists this season.
If he manages to win the award this season, he would be the youngest player to win the MVP. Derrick Rose won the award in 2012 at the age of 22. Doncic still has two years before he could break the record.
Regardless, he looks like a future legend.
