The Dallas Mavericks are in some form right now. With Luka Doncic back to his best, the Mavs have four wins in the last five games, the Mavs have six victories in the eleven games they have played. Tonight they played against a young Chicago Bulls team.

The Mavericks were the heavy favorites to win this game as they see the return of their superstar Kristaps Porzingis. But the Bulls ended up dominating the Mavs as their bench has stepped up. They defeated the Mavs 117-101

Despite the Bulls dominating the game, the Mavs saw their young star Luka Doncic put up a brilliant performance. Doncic again had a fantastic triple double as he ended the game with 36 points, 15 assists and 16 rebounds.

Doncic certainly has been a handful for the Bulls defense so far. Early in the third quarter, Luka produced a fantastic behind the  Take a look.

The 21-year-old has been in some form recently. In the last six games, he has had three triple doubles and averaged 30 points, 10.5 assists and 12 rebounds per game. The Mavs will hope that Luka can continue this sublime run of form and continue to help them win.

Can Luka Doncic become the MVP this season?

The 21-year-old star has already become arguably the best young player in the NBA. He has made the Mavericks a legitimate contender in the Western Conference.

Doncic could break all kinds of records in his career. He was the youngest player to make his debut for Real Madrid Basketball and was also the youngest MVP in EuroLeague’s history.

After a fabulous regular season in his second year, the Slovenian showed that he could perform at the big stage as he averaged 31 points, 8.7 assists, and 9.8 rebounds against a formidable Clippers side.

Doncic had a slow start to the season as he looked out of shape. But he has picked it up in some style recently as he now averages 27.5 points, 8.8 assists and 9.5 rebounds per game for this season.

If he can continue this ridiculous resurgence of form, there is no doubt that Doncic might end up being one of the favorites for the MVP title this season. If he does, he will become the youngest MVP recipient ever.
